It's hard to believe but a year has come and gone. Here are some pictures to enjoy.

Home Improvement Nuts

Here are a few pictures of the work Mark has been doing on the basement. We had to cut a hole in the basement floor to put the plumbing in to add a bathroom. Now he is busy framing the walls. Are we a little nuts?

Wedding and Chocolate Mousse

Troy and Carrie's wedding was at the end of March. This is very exciting for the Chicago church as two of our wonderful young singles joined become a wonderful young couple (which also means they are not moving away).

Zoie enjoyed the wedding (my parents also attended). Visits with her grandparents and Grandpa feeding her chocolate mousse made for a wonderful day. Here are a few pictures.

Touch the fishey

On our trip to Georgia last month, we had the opportunity to go down to what I affectionately call the "hippie aquarium," otherwise known as the Gulf Sea Specimen Lab. This aquarium in Panacea, FL, is not like your typical aquarium. In one of the first buildings it has a series of "touch tanks" where you can pick up and touch the various sea creatures.

It takes a bit to work up the nerve to stick your hand in the tank...but it's very cool. They are currently redoing one of the buildings, so it's a little smaller than usual. Not that it is very big to begin with. It isn't fancy but I haven't found anything else quite like it. This was my fourth trip down. Mark never had the opportunity to go before, so we all went as a family. Here are some pictures from our recent trip.

Ben and the squirter...when you pick it up it squirts water at you. If you give it tiny squeeze, it makes a great squirt gun.
